With the help of a special digital contact camera, the hairy skin and hair of the head are investigated while at the same time conclusions are drawn about the general condition and the existence of skin diseases such as:
Alopecia, moles of the scalp, dermatitis, increased oiliness, fungal infections, dandruff of the scalp, psoriasis of the scalp, monitoring of implanted follicles, damage to the hair shaft, etc.

2.Density measurement (Measurement of hair density per square centimeter)
With the high magnification achieved with the digital contact camera, the number of hairs per square centimeter and the number of hair follicles that hold one, two or three hairs are calculated with absolute precision. The conclusions from densitometry are used to assess the presence or absence of alopecia, its deviation from the normal state, the strength of the treatment to be chosen, the evaluation of the effectiveness of the treatment followed through periodic comparative examinations, the potential of occipital hair growth (donor area) in case the specific patient undergoes a hair microtransplantation.
The diagnostic test is a complete and effective system, as it analyzes and evaluates the exact condition of the scalp & of hair and a series of valuable information is recorded:

4. determination of possible dysfunctions of the scalp or hair

In addition to the above diagnostic methods, blood or hormone tests may also be required. The clearest method of diagnosing hair loss in women is considered to be the diagnosis of Female Androgenetic Alopecia, described by the Ludwig.
However, in the majority of cases female hair loss is due to factors such as changes in hormone levels (usually during pregnancy and menopause), severe stress, strict diets, anemia, thyroid dysfunctions, medication and therefore blood tests are often considered necessary (perhaps also vitamin tests, control of minerals, trace elements, etc.) and hormonal tests to determine the exact cause of hair loss. In some cases, a nutritional history is taken and a further specialized dermatological examination is performed.
